Ground School
Ground Schools are conducted at The Ottawa Flying Club in our onsite classroom. It is not necessary to wait for a ground school before starting your flight training, however it is recommended that when you start flight training, you join the next ground school.
The instructors use a combination of classroom lecture, video, electronic slides, whiteboard, actual aircraft and field trips. To provide the students with the full benefit of their time in the classroom, reading assignments and homework assignments are provided throughout the curriculum.
Ground School is a Transport Canada required component of obtaining your private and commercial pilot licence.
Classes are typically run in the evenings, once a week, missed classes can be made up next time the class runs, through self study, or one on one with one of our qualified instructors. You can view scheduled classes
