Board of Directors
The Ottawa Flying Club Board of Directors governs the business and oversees the activities of the General Manager and management team.

Andrew Simpson, Assistant Chief Flying Instructor
Andrew is a Class 1 instructor who teaches other instructors how to teach as well as what to teach. He has over 2000 hours of instructing experience and is very good at his job. A native of Brampton Ontario, Andrew started flight training in 2001 in Sault Ste. Marie. He worked as a flight instructor and dispatcher at Brampton for a year, then moved to Victoria BC where worked as a part time charter pilot and a flight instructor at the Victoria Flying Club. In 2003 he returned to Ottawa and started working at Ottawa Flying Club, quickly climbing the ranks to become the ACFI. He hopes to become a pilot examiner and one day work for Transport Canada.
When he is not flying you will find him enjoying spending time with his wife and son usually camping, playing hide and seek or having foam sword fights. His personal motto is ‘do not be afraid to ask questions’.
While quiet, he is very funny at times.
